Hurling at St. Joseph’s College
Hurling holds a proud and important place in the sporting life of the school. We aim to build a strong culture of achievement, respect, and teamwork that extends beyond the classroom and into all areas of school life. Students are encouraged to give their best, support one another, and take pride in their efforts.
From their first year through to senior cycle, students have many opportunities to grow, refine their abilities, and compete on behalf of the school, representing it with commitment and a strong sense of pride.
In recent years, we have enjoyed significant success. During the 2025/2026 school year our Senior Hurling team claimed the schools first ever All Ireland title with a thrilling victory in the Michael Cusack Cup over Colaiste Naomh Cormac of Offaly. The team went undefeated all year claiming the Munster title with a hard fought win over Dungarvan CBS.
