Our Student Council is elected annually and pictured below is the committee for 2019/2020.

Our Student Council recently organised a water dispenser which provides chilled and filtered water to our school community.

This was achieved through fundraising and with the support of our Parent’s Council.

Many thanks to our Parent’s Council for their support of this initiative.

At St. Joseph’s College, sustainability is a core value that continues to grow and evolve. Our dedicated Sustainability Policy builds on the outstanding work of the Green Schools Committee, which has led numerous initiatives to raise awareness around key environmental issues such as water conservation, litter management, and noise pollution. These efforts have contributed to the achievement of several Green Flags, reflecting our commitment to creating a greener future.

A highlight of our sustainability journey is the school’s biodiversity and horticulture space, which serves as a living classroom. Here, Transition Year students engage in hands-on projects that promote environmental stewardship. One notable initiative involves recycling old timber to construct flower planters, enhancing the school’s natural environment while reinforcing the principles of reuse and sustainability. Through these projects and policies, St. Joseph’s College fosters a culture of environmental responsibility, empowering students to make a positive impact both within the school and in the wider community.
