Congratulations to our senior hurlers, who ended a 20-year wait to claim a Munster schools hurling title with a fantastic second-half display to defeat Dungarvan CBS in the TUS Corn Risteard Uí Mhathúna Munster U19C Hurling Final in Fethard Town Park last Friday.
At half-time, St. Joseph’s College trailed 0-13 to 1-8, but a superb second-half performance from everyone — with Michéal Collins slotting over all his frees — saw St. Joseph’s take the lead at 2-18 to 0-20.
Dungarvan CBS were given late hope when they hit the back of the net from a 21-yard free in the dying minutes, but it wasn’t enough to see them over the line.
They now march on to the All-Ireland Series in the coming weeks. 🏆
