Winner of The Artzone Competition
Huge congratulations to our student Shane Maher who won The Artzone competition. Entrants had to design a profile picture for after the pandemic. The theme was 'Freedom'.
Online Registration for Leaving Certificate Calculated Grades
Online Registration Opens Tomorrow! The Minister for Education and Skills Joe McHugh TD today (Monday 25 May 2020) announced that the new online Calculated Grades Student Portal will open for registration to Leaving Certificate and Leaving Certificate Applied students tomorrow Tuesday, 26 May. All Leaving Certificate and Leaving Certificate Applied students are required to register on gov.ie/leavingcertificate between 10am Tuesday, 26 May and 10pm Thursday, 28 May. All students following the Leaving Certificate Established or Leaving Certificate Vocational Programmes are also required to confirm the level at which they intended to sit each of their subjects. Borrisoleigh Student Wins Top Poetry Award
Seactain na Gaeilge Poetry Competition A transition year student from St. Joseph's College, Borrisoleigh has won first prize in the national Seactain na Gaeilge poetry competition. William Quinlan, aged 16 years, from Grousehall, Kilcommon scooped the prize for his poem exploring the theme of pandemic in the TY to sixth year poetry category. Seactain na Gaeilge is an international Irish language festival which is the largest celebration of our native language and culture internationally.
