Well done to our Senior Hurlers who had a great win over Borrisokane Community College today in Toomevara 1-16 to 1-10. Outstanding performances from all involved. The semi final will be played in the coming weeks.
St Joseph's Senior Girls team took on Nenagh College is the Cup Q/F on Friday. St Joseph's played against a very strong breeze in the 1st half. St Joseph's took the lead in the 30th minute when a Charlotte Deegan cutback on the endline was calmly tapped into the net from 5 yards by Míoda O Shea. In the 41st minute, the Nenagh College goalie picking up a back injury and the game was abandoned by the referee. St Joseph's wish her a speedy recovery. Player of the match was St Joseph's goalie, Eibhlin O Brien who dealt calmly with the strong wind and numerous efforts of Nenagh College.
Hard luck to our u15 Girls soccer who lost out 1-0 today against Colaiste Mhuire Asketon. St. Josephs were unlucky as Maira Groome and Eillie Ryan both hit the crossbar in the second half. However, player of the match had to go to our goalie, Chloe Ryan, who pulled off some excellent saves.
Excellent performances from our cross country runners today at the Tipperary Post Primary Schools Cross Country Championships at Thurles Crokes Complex. Big shout out to Donnacha Browne who finished second in his age group winning him a silver medal. Huge congratulations to all!
Well done to our u19 boys soccer team who defeated Patrician Presentation School Fethard on a scoreline of 3-1. Two great goals from Cody Quirke put the lads 2-0 up at half time, while a goal mouth scramble in the 2nd half brought about our 3rd goal, which will go down as an own goal. The lads are now into a quarter final of the John Murphy Munster Cup ⚽️
Outstanding gold medal performance by Ronan Ryan on Saturday in the All Ireland Schools Combined Evenits in Athlone. Ronan competed in the long jump, shot put, 60m hurdles, 200m and 800m. He accumulated points from each performance (winning the long jump, 60m hurdles and 200m) to win overall gold in the Senior Boys category. Huge congratulations Ronan.
Well done to our 1st year girls who took part in the Munster Schools 7 a side blitz in UL. Our goal scorers on the day were Cliodhna Maxwell and Emily Ryan. Player of day for St Joseph's College was Grace Tynan.
Well done to our Junior Camogie team, who had a fantastic win over Borrisokane CS today. Maria Groome and Olivia Looby both playing outstanding in the full forward line, with Aoife Ryan, Ava Fanning and Tara Maher controlling things from the back. Sinead Cowan was introduced off the bench and also had a superb game. They now progress to a Munster Semi Final.
Well done to our Minor Ladies Footballers on a great win against The Ursuline Waterford, on Tuesday the 4th of Novemeber. The girls won on a score line of 3-8 to 2-5, with outstanding performances from Cliona Cahill, Sinead Cowan, Sinead O'Meara, Maria Groome and Ellie Ryan.
